Cross-country skiing

Cross-country skiing is a great outdoor activity for a team of different ages and fitness levels, that does not require much previous learning or training, and can be enjoyed in the sunshine by everybody!

Skiing

The highest ski resort in Switzerland at 3,899 m, Zermatt offers a lot of possibilities for all levels. Linked to Cervinia, just over the border to Italy, it offers 360 km of pistes. It is also one of the few resorts in Europe where you can ski all year round.

Beautiful views, authentic alpine ambience and superb off-piste runs and heli-skiing.

Tobogganing

Toboganning can be enjoyed by everyone, and it is a great way to have a sunny day on the slopes!

Snowshoeing

Snowshoeing in the striking Swiss scenery is a beautiful experience! Zermatt has a total of 9 snowshoe walks of different levels, with some wonderful restaurants on the way. It is also a great activity for those who do not ski, and for those wishing to connect to nature and see some wildlife too!

Winter hiking

With more than 70 km of winter hiking trails, you can enjoy unspoilt nature and snow-covered mountains. Suitable for all levels of fitness, it offers a possibility to enjoy a beautiful day in the mountains followed by lunch or dinner at one of Zermatt’s famous mountain restaurants.

Mountain lunches

Zermatt is renowned for its culinary charm and views, with so many amazing mountain restaurants to choose from. Chez Vrony, Findlerhof, Zum See and so many more to choose from – they all offer great food and marvellous views of Matterhorn and surrounding peaks!

Zermatt has something for everyone: rustic mountain huts, gourmet restaurants, and even a possibility to ski down to Italian Cervinia for an Italian lunch!

Apes-Ski

Hennu Stall, Snowboat, Papperla Pub, Harry’s Bar, Cervo, Champagner Bar, Hexenbar… If you are looking for legendary apres-ski parties, Zermatt has it all: from refined bars to authentic mountain huts, among which there is even the locals’ hidden secret Vernissage bar — a combination of an art gallery, cocktail bar, and a cinema that is converted into a night club some nights.

Night Life

Zermatt offers some of the Alps’ best night life. Our guides can take you to bars and clubs located both on the mountain or in town, with live music, disco, cocktail lounges and pubs to choose from. Zermatt nightlife has a lot to offer to suit all tastes.

Scenic Flights

Experience a helicopter flight around Matterhorn. You can choose the flight route individually, and directly with a pilot!

Heli-Skiing

For experienced skiers only, accompanied by a private mountain guide, you fly to the height of over 4000 meters and ski the finest powder snow! Freeriding in Zermatt is not to be missed.

Husky Sledging

Enjoy husky sleigh rides in front of the Matterhorn, at almost 3,000 meters. This event is suitable for groups up to twelve persons.

Paragliding

Tandem flights, with no experience required.

PistenBully Experience

Take an exclusive ride in a PistenBully, whose goal is to prepare more than 200 km of piste. Learn to smooth the piste from the co-driver’s seat!

Igloo Dorf Village

A hotel, bar and a restaurant made of ice and snow – at the height of 2,727 m above sea level! You can stay there overnight, or build one together with your team!
